Band residency with Gabriel Gordon and Cecilie Beck
A songwriting residency at ISLA offers songwriters and bands to come to the island of Strynø for inspiration and for development of new material. As a life long career musician, songwriter, recording artist and producer, he supports and offers mentorship in the writing process as well as in recording, arranging and producing demos. Gabriel Gordon is a multi instrumentalist and was trained at Jimi Hendrix' Electric Lady Studios as a producerengineer for 5 years. Bands can also benefit from dynamic live coaching.
In order to apply you have to be a professional artist or an active MFA or MM student.
Upon acceptance of your stay, we will be happy to write you an invitation letter for funding.
For bands, you can visit ISLA to work on music development, demo recordings, stage performance, dynamics and team building.

Travel
You fly into Copenhagen and then book a flixbus.dk that goes from the airport in Copenhagen
directly to the ferry that brings you to our island. Airport pick-up is possible. Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions. We are happy to help.

Songwriting residency with Gabriel Gordon
Your stay will include the following
-
Up to 10 hours a day in the studio with Gabriel writing/arranging/producing/recording.

We have a basic studio setup with an upright piano, PA system, 4 mics, several acoustic
and electric guitars, vintage guitar amp, vintage guitar pedals, bass amp, acoustic and electric bass, midi controller, percussion from Uganda, 4 piece drum kit. Gabriel works on Logic Pro and uses a Universal Audio audio interface with hundreds of plugins to use. There are windows from the studio that look at the Baltic Sea. The studio time also includes Gabriel recording tracks for your demos if you wish. -
3 meals a day (please specify if you have any allergies, food restrictions, etc). Farm to table organic meats and vegetables. Soft drinks, coffee, tea, water are included. Daily fresh fruit juices from our small apple orchard when in season.

Private room with desk, bed, windows overlooking our back yard with hundreds of trees, private toilet and sink (shower is shared with the family)

Free range around our 8 barns, greenhouse with hanging grapes and 1 acre of land to set up a spot to sit and meditate, contemplate, write songs, write in your journal, dream or read a book

We can add any of the following for extra costs: social media set up, social media training, Website, Music Video, Photoshoots, mastering, digital distribution, PRO registration, publishing.
Residency Rate
€650 a day. Weekly rate: €3000
We require a deposit of 50 percent of the total on the day of booking to secure a reservation.
The remaining 50 percent will be paid on the first day of the booking.
Vip Residency Rate
€865/day. €4000/Week
Includes all the above amenities plus airport/train station pick up and drop off with a meal for the journey, and your own private luxury apartment at our neighbor's farm with full Baltic Sea Views.

Includes all the above amenities plus airport/train station pick up and drop off with a meal for the journey, and a private luxury apartment that sleeps up to 5 people at our neighbor's farm with full Baltic Sea Views.
